Terms of Use

1. The Service

The App provides tools to organize and view notes, web-related saved items, voice notes, an in-app browser, recommended articles, Dendrite History, imports via the share extension, and similar content on your device. Features may be added, changed, or discontinued without prior notice. Free and Dendrite Plus plans may differ in limits such as note count, news volume, and history retention.

2. Accounts

Core features of the App are designed for local on-device use and do not require creating a separate Dendrite user account. An Apple ID may be required for purchases and restore.

3. Dendrite Plus (In-App Purchases)

Dendrite Plus may be offered as auto-renewable monthly or yearly subscriptions and as a one-time lifetime purchase through Apple’s App Store / StoreKit. Prices are those shown at purchase; payment is processed by Apple. Important subscription terms:

• Auto-renewable subscriptions renew automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Renewal charges may be billed within 24 hours before the period ends.
• Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings (Subscriptions).
• Refund eligibility and process follow Apple’s policies.
• You can restore purchases in the App or through Apple.
• Deleting on-device data or uninstalling the App does not by itself cancel an Apple subscription.

4. Your Responsibilities

You must use the App in compliance with applicable law and these Terms. You are responsible for having lawful rights to the content you save and for not infringing third-party rights. When using the in-app browser or external sites and services, you must also follow those providers’ terms. You must not reverse engineer, misuse, interfere with, or otherwise use the App for unlawful purposes. The App includes unrestricted web browsing. You must not use it to access illegal or harmful content, infringe third-party rights, or otherwise violate applicable law.

5. Intellectual Property

Rights in the App and related software, designs, and trademarks belong to the operator or rightful owners. These Terms do not transfer those rights to you.

6. Your Content

Rights in content you save in the App remain with you or the rightful owner. The operator does not use your content beyond what is needed to provide the App’s features. You are responsible for backing up and safeguarding data stored on your device.

7. Third-Party Services

Some features, including transcription, web browsing, recommended articles, favicon display, search, and purchase verification, may rely on Apple or other third-party services and sites. The operator does not warrant their availability, content, pricing, or privacy practices. The browser’s “Minimize Ads” feature is an assistive readability feature and does not guarantee removal of all ads, tracking, or clutter.

8. Disclaimer

The App is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator makes no warranties regarding accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. Except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence, the operator is not liable for damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the App. The operator also does not warrant the content, safety, or legality of third-party websites.

9. Changes and Termination

The operator may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the App. To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for resulting damages.

10. Changes to the Terms

The operator may update these Terms as needed. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Courts with jurisdiction over the operator’s location shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes relating to the App.
